The Day Worker Center is a program of the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County, a nonprofit organization with 50 years of experience administering programs to address poverty in Santa Cruz County. The Center provides employment services to day laborers and their families. Day laborers who typically stand outside of home improvement stores waiting for work, are encouraged to register at the Center to seek employment in an orderly and protected atmosphere. While they wait for employment at the Center they take skill building workshops and classes such as English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and health and safety trainings. Employers hire workers who are screened, skilled and reliable.
Your support will go a long way in helping us secure additional resources for an even more successful second year! We will be informing the community about how they can hire workers through the Center.

If you cannot attend and you would like to help, your donation is tax-deductible.

We are so excited that is has been a year of growth and success and we thank you for all you have done to be a part of that wonderfulness!

Thank you,
